Design Students Compete for Limited Edition Marathon Poster

The ING Georgia Marathon and Promotional Solutions Inc have partnered with the Savannah College of Art & Design in a unique contest for currently enrolled design students at the Atlanta campus of the college.  SCAD students will compete in special marathon poster design contest.  Contest to occur Saturday, November 11th, 2006.

PSI Promotional Solutions Inc. is the proud sponsor of the Poster Design Contest to create the Limited Edition print and Runners Poster for the Inaugural ING Georgia Marathon and Half Marathon.  The kick-off for the event begins at 9:00 am with a message from Victoria Seahorn, followed by a brief Q & A session.  The student artist will have 13 hours and 1 minute to create their own original design to be submitted no later than 10:01 pm.  During the day the participating students will enjoy bagels and a carb loading pasta party.  The sprint to the finish at 10:01 pm will include each student receiving a special medal designed for this event.  
 
The first and second place design will be selected by a three person judge’s panel consisting of Tricia Conahan, ING Americas, David R. Foote, Savannah College of Art and Design, and Victoria Seahorn, ING Georgia Marathon. The winning design will be the Limited Edition Poster print of the inaugural ING Georgia Marathon with the winning artist receiving a $2,500 SCAD Scholarship.  The second place artist will receive a $500 SCAD Scholarship and the design will be the official Runners Poster.   The unveiling of the winning design will be announced to the public January 2007.
